Dr. Charles Chiang and the staff were very professional at the Berman Skin Institute. Very comforting experience for my first skin cancer screening. Was so nervous in the beginning but it was so quick and Dr. Chiang answered all my questions very well. I even asked my husband to get his screening the same day and the staff was so kind enough to fit him to see Dr. Chiang right away. Thank you

Today, I had a very disappointing experience at the Berman Skin Institute in Pleasanton. My daughter had an appointment last week, and the doctor advised us to schedule a follow-up this week if her condition did not improve. Following the doctor's advice, I booked an appointment for today.We arrived 15 minutes early, and after being shown to a room and having pictures taken, a staff member informed me that our insurance only covers a follow-up two weeks after the initial appointment. This was shocking and frustrating, as I had rearranged my entire day for this visit. I left work early, my daughter had to submit an application at school to miss an after-school activity, and I canceled other meetings. Despite all this, we left the office without even seeing the doctor.This situation could have easily been avoided with better communication and attention to detail from the staff. Neither the call center nor the office staff verified this crucial insurance information beforehand. It shows a lack of responsibility and coordination within the team. I urge the Berman Skin Institute to improve their processes to avoid causing unnecessary inconvenience to patients.I am extremely disappointed by today's experience. Please address this to ensure better care for future patients.Thank you!
