I originally went for what I thought was some dermatitis. It was, but during the exam, the doctor found a spot on my back. Biopsied it and it needed to be removed. Done in the office, virtually painlessly. I go back for my check ups. The Front Office and Back office staff are ALL GREAT.
I had a return appointment today from surgery yesterday, I was greeted by the friendly personal at the front office I waited approximately 10 minutes before I was called back Dr Park came in checked my sutures on my neck and everything looks great she is a marvelous surgeon and a wonderful person thank you Dr Park.
Everyone at the Berman Skin Institute from the reception area to the doctor were professional and friendly. They made my brother in law feel comfortable and explained everything clearly. I would highly recommend the Berman Institute.
My appointment was scheduled for 11:50 AM. I received a call from Berman asking if I could change until 1PM. I arrived shortly before 1PM and waited 30 minutes before a room was ready. After another 30 minutes the doctor came in to do a MOH,s surgery. She said it would take an hour to see if the surgery was successful. After another hour I was asked to return to the waiting room. After another 1 & 1/2 hours I was told they were still waiting for a room and the surgery was ok. At 5PM I was put into a dirty, run down room with a trash can overflowing with bloody gauze pads and other debris. The surgeon came in and put stiches in my forehead. I complained to the woman at the desk about the condition of the room I was treated in, I told her it was a dump, and she said it is hardly ever used. I finally left at 5:45PM.No one from Berman ever called to see if I was ok.I will NEVER go to Berman again!
My experience was professional. I was informed about their procedures. They had me in and out in , so I could carry on with my day.
I originally came to Berman for a crusty spot on my scalp and got an overall check up where a melanoma on my arm was found and biopsied. Since then, I am on a three months regular visit schedule. Everyone there is very professional and I am no longer wondering about the health of my skin.
My husband had skin cancer removed here. They were supposed to have the results back in a week to confirm they got it all. He has been calling and calling for results. It has been three weeks and still no one will call him back with results. We physically went into the clinic yesterday and there was sign saying they are now closed on Monday. We called again today and someone in India answered. After 10 mins on hold they come back saying the office is not answering and he will have to leave another message. We are now filling a report with the state board. Do not use this office.
Seems good so far. Dr. Was in for about 2 mins and it cost us 200 bucks ..but he is helping my teenage son w his acne so should be good!
I had avoided going but was treated wonderfully. No upselling. Thorough, respectful, friendly. I will go back for sure.

The friendly staff at the Placerville Berman skin institute explained all the skin issues that I have and answered my questions.
First, I want to say how horrible the answering service is. Why would a local doctor use an out-of-country answering service? Beyond me…. Second, I received no appt confirmation. I did however receive a link via text to log in to my patient portal and when I tried, I received a message saying no patient portal exists. Furthermore, they will not discuss pricing over the phone, which is odd this day in age for someone providing skin services. Do BETTER disappointed all around.
I was amazed at how quickly I was treated...the same day I showed them the issue with a squamous cell growth on my hand, they took time to excise the growth & send it out for analysis!

I had several skin issues that were quickly treated. I was able to see the doctor the same day I called. Staff was courteous and helpful with making the appointment and assisting the doctor when I was at the office.

I feel as though Berman could do a more thorough skin examination. It’s certainly okay to ask me what my skin concerns are, but I would like to see the use of the magnifying visor while examining.
Great experience. The Assistant had to fill out my 5 pages of forms. She was very patient. I have tremors. The Doctor was so professional. I was ar ease from the start. You should have seen the size of the barnacle he froze off. I didn't shake a bit. Great Experience
Immaculate offices, was taken right in surgery took a very short time of 15 minutes. Dr and Asst. were marvelous and so official. I was extremely happy.
The yong woman at the front desk checking me in was very rude. The Dr was visit was quick and informative. But I was very put off by the girl at the front desk.

Unhelpful, offered suggestions and promoted products without any effective action for skin cysts. Sure they are happy to make money off of people with aging skin but don't expect any knowledgeable medical advice.
Excellent facility. Friendly staff. Very short waiting in the waiting room and in the exam room. The Dr. explained what he thought the issue was and gave me treatment options.Once I chose one, he did the procedure right there. He used appropriate numbing to eliminate discomfort, and explained the follow up very well.

Jonathan Rick is a great doctor. Thoughtful, listens, knowledgeable about the stages of each stage of aging along with the applicable skin issues, and is current on today’s theories and treatments. We’ll keep going back.
This is the first time that i have used this medical facility. I found it to be a very nice environment. The staff was very nice and friendly and Dr. Rick was great…he even gave a call back the next day on my blood test to…wasnt’ expecting that but i appreciate this. Definitely would recommend this to anyone that needs advice and direction.

I've been to Berman Skin Institute for 2 annual skin exams so far. Both times have been good. I got a thorough exam both times and learned about my skin. I have had extra questions and they helped me to understand what was going on. I had to have some things removed. They were as gentle as possible.
