Aging Hands
About MicroLaser Peel
If you are looking for more than a light chemical peel and you have little time for prolonged healing, then the MicroLaser Peel is designed for you. This peel – also known as the Weekend Peel – was created to help improve your complexion without creating the need for significant downtime. It’s perfect for people with busy schedules!
How Does the MicroLaser Peel Work?
The MicroLaser Peel is a partial-to-full epidermal peel (20 to 50 microns) and is typically performed with topical anesthesia. Because this procedure peels deeper into the skin, it is the perfect step between HydraFacialMD and full skin resurfacing. Healing takes 1-2 days.
Am I a Good Candidate for the MicroLaser Peel?
You’re a good candidate for a MicroLaser Peel if you have mild-to-moderate signs of aging, but you don’t want to invest the recovery time that’s usually associated with a full-strength peel. You should be in good health and have realistic expectations for this treatment.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
The typical treatment takes about an hour to perform, depending on the area where the procedure is being performed. Most patients experience little to no discomfort; however, it is normal to feel some heat or experience a tingling sensation.
What Results Will I See?*
You’ll see your ideal results within about three months after your final MicroLaser Peel treatment. These results typically last one to two years, depending on your skincare regimen and overall lifestyle.
Is There Any Downtime?
Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble a sunburn, with minor sloughing on the second day. Redness will begin to fade by the third day and be easily covered by makeup on the fourth day. Most patients have a series of treatments repeated 2-4 times, spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
